It all started on July 9, 1977, when the doors of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God were officially opened. Without conditions to rent a property, then the pastor Edir Macedo started his first meetings in a square called Méier. Guided by the Holy Spirit and clothed with unwavering faith, his words then began the Church that is currently the one most responsible for the evangelical growth of the world.
